The exploration of imperfection is the driving force behind my work. Through experimentation, I investigate asymmetry and irregular textures — as traces of life. For me, fabric becomes a metaphor for connection: the fabric of memory, of society, or of the self. Scars no longer need to be hidden; they become patterns.
After graduating (2006) as a fashion designer from the Maastricht Institute of Arts, I have been working as a maker/artist from my studio in Eindhoven. My initial focus was on fashion, but over time, my attention shifted toward building large-scale textile installations. I have presented these works at Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven and the Salone del Mobile in Milan.
Since 2023, I have been immersing myself in the world of weaving. My studio is now filled with large handlooms and frame looms. I also volunteer at the Weaving Museum in Geldrop, where I continue to deepen my fascination for the craft.
